How to Choose the Right Size Bed Frames To Suit Your Requirement

Bed frames basically serve as the foundation upon which mattress rests. Because an average person spends at least a third of his life in bed, it only fits to find the right furniture that will create the best sleeping environment possible. Finding the right bed frame size shouldn't be difficult. After all, beds come in standard sizes that ensure ideal surface areas for different types of sleepers. Here are some things you should remember when shopping for a bed frame:

  • Consider which room you plan to put the bed frame. It is important that you find a frame that fits the room not only in terms of size, but also in terms of style. You don't require a fancy bed frame to create a nice, welcoming sleeping area, but you have all the freedom in the world to make your bed as elegant-looking as you want. Bunk beds and day beds are still popular in children's rooms, but for a more grown-up taste, platform beds make the perfect choice.
  • Consider how much space is available for your bed frame. Beds probably take the most space in a typical bedroom. Map out the available space and choose the size that best fits the floor area, with a good amount of breathing room to spare. You can also simply look at the size of your mattress and go for the corresponding bed frame size. However, you should remember to choose a frame that will fit the space well without crowding the room, especially when you are short of floor area.
  • Consider the bed frame's configuration. Many homes have particularly small hallways and doorways. Make sure that the bed frame you buy disassembles into smaller pieces or at least can go through your halls and doors with ease. When living in a small home, choose a frame that can take apart and reassembled easily and avoid large headboards and footboards.
